I see it as a special privilege to help people, and my work as a therapist gives me that opportunity. Listening carefully, reflecting together, supporting and encouraging and guiding the your in the recovery process: for me that is the essence of physical therapy.

I believe that everything gets better when we help each other. Therefore, I put the knowledge I have gained as a physical therapist over the years to help each patient reach his or her goal. The path is not always easy, but with the right support, I believe we can make step by step progress and create space to see the desired changes.

My adventure in physical therapy began in 2013 in Brazil (my native country), where I graduated, without thinking I would one day work in Amsterdam. Curiosity and love of adventure brought me to this city, where I quickly felt welcome and at home. After getting my Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from VU University in 2017, I knew I wanted to build a career here and stay in Amsterdam. And now I live and work in Amsterdam Noord! Learning the language and validating my degree in the Netherlands was a challenge, but I am proud to have taken this step successfully.

For me, working at MCN means working with a diverse and inspiring team of enthusiastic colleagues. Here, the patient is always the focus, and the motivation to deliver the best work every day is what drives us – and that is also my belief.
